“I like to play with the texture of paint, as if it was to make the paint almost edible.”
Marie-Aubeline, originally from France, has always had a deep connection to food and its cultural significance. Growing up in a family of artists, she was surrounded by painting from a young age, which nurtured her passion for art. Her journey took a flavorful turn when she moved to Australia and started working as a pastry chef, an experience that highlighted the importance of food in bringing people together.
As a painter, Marie-Aubeline is known for her vibrant and textured depictions of culinary creations. Her use of oil paint with pastel colors like baby blue, baby pink, and red, creates a sense of nostalgia and joy.
